On September 5, 2024, the UNFPA country office held a semi-annual review to assess the implementation of the 2024 Work Plans at mid-term, conducted in collaboration with institutional partners and civil society.
These plans are part of the UNFPA-Gabon Cooperation Program 2023-2027, launched in January 2023, which aims to ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable populations.
The session was organized under the auspices of the Directorate General for Prospective and brought together various implementing partners, including the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Directorate General of Statistics, as well as the Association of Midwives of Gabon and the NGO 3S.
This day provided an opportunity to take stock of the activities completed and the results achieved to date, while defining strategies to accelerate the implementation of activities during the last semester of 2024.
By facilitating the exchange of ideas and best practices among the various stakeholders, the semi-annual review contributes to the long-term achievement of objectives and supports efforts to improve maternal and reproductive health in Gabon.
