The Resident Representative of Gabon, Mr. Auguste Kpognon, met with His Excellency the Ambassador of Korea to Gabon, Mr. Song Bim SHIN, for in-depth discussions on mobilizing resources from Korea for the acquisition of a mobile clinic unit intended for Gabonese youth. This initiative holds crucial importance in the context of access to family planning services for young people.
The establishment of such a unit will provide essential reproductive health and family planning services to youth, addressing an urgent and often neglected need. By providing facilitated access to these services, this initiative will contribute to improving the health and well-being of Gabonese youth while strengthening their autonomy and capacity to make informed decisions regarding their sexual and reproductive health.
On behalf of the Korean Government, we are willing to support your organization in accompanying the development of Gabon in terms of access to local health services.
The generous commitment of Korea to this initiative demonstrates a strong partnership and concrete support for Gabonese youth. This joint action reflects a shared determination to achieve the "3 zeros" by 2030, ensuring that all youth have access to quality reproductive health services. It also reinforces Gabon's commitment to working collaboratively with international partners to achieve sustainable development goals and ensure a better future for all.
