As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Violence Against Women and Girls campaign, the United Nations in Gabon organized an awareness-raising video contest from November 25 to December 17, 2023. At the end of the competition, the 3 best videos were selected by a jury of national experts.

The aim was to record a video of no more than 60 seconds to convey a message in favor of the fight against gender-based violence. Of the nearly ten videos received, three in particular caught the attention of the jury.
First place went to Mr. Paul TOUKOUROU, for his poignant yet silent video. The jury was deeply moved by his message of awareness-raising, and saw in it a fine example of positive masculinity in the fight against gender-based violence.

In second place was Ms DILEBOU MABIKA Pakita Love, whose video was also selected by the jury. Her message, a performance worthy of a play, made a strong impression on the jury.

The third winner, Ms Emmanuelle KOUSSOU NGOUAWIRI, a resident of Port-Gentil who was unable to make the trip to Libreville, will be presented with her prize by Mr Paul TOUKOUROU, also a resident of Port-Gentil.
UNFPA Gabon would like to thank all those who took part in this competition and in the noble cause of combating gender-based violence.
