UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund) has recently completed a major operation to acquire and deliver 2.5 million condoms of the Condomize brand to the Ministry of Health of Gabon. This initiative is part of UNFPA's ongoing commitment to ensuring universal access to family planning services, including the distribution of condoms.

The primary goal of this effort is to reduce early pregnancies and combat HIV/AIDS infections, particularly among young people and at-risk populations. By providing quality condoms, UNFPA aims to strengthen prevention capabilities and promote responsible sexual behaviors.

As the sole provider of condoms in Gabon, UNFPA plays a crucial role in the national public health strategy. The consistent supply of condoms contributes to better coverage of reproductive health and supports the Gabonese government's efforts in combating sexually transmitted diseases.

With this new delivery, the Ministry of Health will be able to enhance its distribution programs and awareness campaigns, ensuring that condoms are freely and easily accessible to everyone in need. UNFPA continues to work closely with the Ministry of Health and other local partners to ensure that these essential resources reach the most vulnerable populations and contribute to better health and well-being for all Gabonese people.
