Launch of the Advertising Campaign in Collaboration with KISS: A Commitment to Young People's Sexual Health in Gabon

Gabon, with a seroprevalence of 3.6%, faces significant public health challenges, particularly in the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and early pregnancies. These realities particularly affect young people, who make up a large part of the population but still suffer from insufficient access to sexual and reproductive health services. The availability of condoms, essential for preventing STIs, including HIV/AIDS, and reducing unwanted pregnancies, remains a major issue. Indeed, early pregnancies continue to impact the lives of many adolescents, compromising their future and increasing their socio-economic vulnerability.

In this context, UNFPA, in collaboration with DKT International, has committed to strengthening access to condoms through the social marketing of the KISS brand. This initiative aims to make condoms more accessible, affordable, and appealing to young people and vulnerable populations. The social marketing strategy relies on large-scale distribution, coupled with targeted awareness campaigns, to promote the use of condoms as an essential means of protection. The KISS brand "Always with Me" perfectly fits into this dynamic by partnering with influential platforms such as QG Jeune to directly reach Gabon's youth.

Thus, the recent ambitious advertising campaign led by KISS, in partnership with QG Jeune, aims not only to address gaps in access to reliable information on sexual health but also to encourage responsible behaviors. By partnering with this iconic brand, QG Jeune strengthens its mission to educate young people about managing their sexual and reproductive health, providing them with the necessary tools to make informed decisions. This innovative partnership responds to an urgent need by offering accessible information and concrete solutions to improve the well-being of young Gabonese, while actively participating in the fight against STIs and early pregnancies.
