On June 12, 2024, the UNFPA Office hosted a crucial session at the NGO Gabtrotter on the introduction to gender-based violence and provisions of the penal code. The objective was to raise awareness and educate participants on the various types of gender-based violence, analyze their impact, and understand the legal protections and sanctions involved.

Dedicated members of Gabtrotter, committed to promoting gender equality and combating injustices, actively participated in this empowering training. Together, they explored essential legal and social mechanisms to effectively prevent and respond to gender-based violence, enhancing their capacity to act as agents of change within their respective communities.

This session not only deepened the collective understanding of critical issues related to gender-based violence but also strengthened solidarity and commitment to protecting the fundamental rights of women and girls.
